OPSEU Local 121 member did without a Christmas Party to make donations to the local food banks, legion branches, and community organizations. Cheques were presented at the Huron County OPSEU local's monthly meeting at the Park House Restaurant in mid-January.

GREY-BRUCE HEALTH UNIT LOOKING FOR DOG INVOLVED IN ALVANLEY INCIDENT

The Grey Bruce Health Unit is seeking assistance from the public in locating a dog involved in a biting incident that occurred near Alvanley. On Tuesday a person was bitten by a stray dog that had been taken in. The dog subsequently escaped and was last seen in the vicinity of Alvanley.

MVCA WATERSHED STATEMENT ISSUED

The Maitland Valley Conservation Authority has issued a Watershed Conditions Statement for the Maitland River and Nine Mile River watersheds. The MVCA advises that mild temperatures and rainfall may combine to dissolve much of the remaining snowpack.
