Part of the Main Beach in Port Elgin will be closed Saturday as Bruce Power prepares for it's Block Party fireworks. An area of the beach between the beach house washrooms and the beachside café will be closed starting at 8am.

RESTRICTED BIDDING COSTING THE PROVINCE BILLIONS

If OPG construction contracts were tendered openly and fairly the Bruce and Darlington nuclear refurbishment projects could be as much as 5.2 billion dollars lower. The report put out by Cardus highlights restricted bidding and says it's not in the public interest.

HUMAN REMAINS FOUND IN MOUNT FOREST

Police are investigating after human remains were found in a wooded area in Mount Forest. Police say Tuesday (July 17th) around 11:00am they were made aware of the remains in a wooded ravine near North Water Street.
