An accident east of Goderich has claimed a life. Huron OPP say just before midnight police, Fire and Paramedic Services responded to the scene of an Off-Road vehicle crash just off Highway 8 west of Kitchigami Road.

Saugeen First Nation Number 29 has an new Chief and Council. Band elections were held Thursday. Lester Anoquot is the new Chief. There were nine candidates vying to replace the retiring Vernon Roote.

A Goderich resident reports the CRA Scam is alive and well and making the rounds in Canada's Prettiest Town. Recently the man received a call from an individual proporting himself to be an agent with the Canada Revenue Agency.

BRUCE POWER SUMMER SEASON

Summer is here and Bruce Power is ready. The nuclear provider reports Unit 2 has returned to service following its planned maintenance and investment program. A planned outage on Unit 3 wraps up in August. This means 7 of 8 reactors are operational as Ontarians crank the AC for the Summer season.

SOUTH BRUCE OPP DEALING WITH A RASH OF BREAK-INS IN THE AREA

South Bruce OPP now have a rash of break-ins to contend with. Police say that in addition to a residential break-in early last Saturday morning on Walsh Street in Kincardine, officers have active files on two additional incidents in the area. Each happened Friday June 17th.

There's more than enough public washrooms in Goderich, people just don't know where to find them. Works Director Chip Wilson tells myFM the public have been prevailing on a hotel owner to use his facilities rather than seek out a more appropriate spot to relieve themselves.
