Sixty-four-year-old Kincardine resident, Yvonne Martin, has been found deceased. Her body was located Saturday (September 23) morning in Lake Huron, along the shores of Kincardine. The investigation is complete and foul play is not suspected.

Two people are now confirmed dead following a plane crash near the Goderich Airport. Huron County Provincial Police along with first responder were called to the Goderich Airport on Wednesday following reports of a small airplane that appeared to be flying in distress close to the airport.

The South Bruce OPP are still looking for a missing woman in the Kincardine area. Late Wednesday night, police received a missing person report from a residence along Baird Street. Officers are looking for 64-year-old Yvonne Martin of Kincardine.

The OPP want to reduce the number of 911 calls it gets that are pocket dialed. Last year, OPP say there were over 299, 000 911 calls and in the first half of 2017, there were 142, 000.

On Wednesday Huron County Provincial Police along with the Goderich Fire Department and the Huron County Paramedic Services responded to the Goderich Municipal Sky Harbour Airport following reports of a small plane in distress. Witnesses say that the plane was flying close to the airport.

On Sunday, September 17, 2017 shortly before 9:20 p.m. Lucknow Fire Department responded to the structure fire located on Dungannon Road near Cransford Line. Upon arrival fire crews observed a two-story farmhouse fully engulfed in flames.

Work is nearing completion on a bridge that will connect Lake Huron to the 401. The Blyth Brook Bridge is 20 meters long and sits along an abandoned railway line. It is one of two bridges that were in need of being finished.
