COLLEGE STRIKE VOTING BEGINS TUESDAY

A crime of opportunity took place this weekend, and police are still searching for the culprit. In Saugeen Shores, there was a power outage that affected the downtown core after a tree fell on electrical lines in the area of Goderich and River Streets.

Saugeen Shores police have made an arrest in connection with the robbery at the Circle K Convenience store in Port Elgin. Police say the investigation is continuing, and that one young person is in custody. No other information has been released.

NO MORE FREE RADON KITS AT THE GREY BRUCE HEALTH UNIT

November is Radon Awareness Month. Exposure to the gas is the second-leading cause of lung cancer behind smoking. 600 free Radon test kits were offered from the Grey Bruce Health Unit to residents. Due to the overwhelming response, the kits are gone.
