The Huron County Health Unit continues to warn people about the risks of ticks and mosquito bites. In addition to transmitting West Nile Virus, mosquitoes are also capable of transmitting Eastern Equine Encephalitis Virus, which mainly affects horses.

Shooting has wrapped up for the historical documentary 'The Bruce'. Editing will continue through the winter. The documentary has a number of components: historical photographs, maps, animations, interviews and, not least, historical re-enactments.

The Saugeen Shores Police Service are currently investigating a missing person incident. 23-year-old Joyanna Neron, was last spoken to on the 8th of October. Neron was said to be in the city of Owen Sound. Police are concerned for her well-being.
