Huron County is in search of a new CAO, as it was recently announced that Brenda Orchard would be leaving effective August 2nd. Orchard has taken on the role of CAO for Lennox and Addington in Eastern Ontario. She explains leaving is a personal choice.

A flood watch and flood warning is currently in effect for the South Saugeen River watershed. Rainfall occurred over all of the Saugeen Valley Conservation Authority Watershed last night, with amounts ranging from 20mm up to 149mm.

Hanover police say a pedestrian was struck and killed at the corner of 10th street and 7th avenue just after 12pm yesterday (June 20th). 83-year-old Beatrice Gaeler of Hanover was crossing 10th street when she was hit by a vehicle turning from 7th avenue.
