If OPG construction contracts were tendered openly and fairly the Bruce and Darlington nuclear refurbishment projects could be as much as 5.2 billion dollars lower. The report put out by Cardus highlights restricted bidding and says it's not in the public interest.

Police are investigating after human remains were found in a wooded area in Mount Forest. Police say Tuesday (July 17th) around 11:00am they were made aware of the remains in a wooded ravine near North Water Street.

Striking workers in Goderich are back on the job Wednesday morning. In a meeting yesterday held between Compass minerals and Unifor 16-0 the two sides were able to come to terms to end the 12 week strike.

An alleged drunk driver in Elderslie Township has led to an arrest. On July 13th at around 11:30 PM, a South Bruce OPP officer stopped a pick-up truck on Ross Street. The officer found that the driver had been drinking alcohol.
