A 29-year-old driver from Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh is facing several driving related charges after police attempted to pull him over this past weekend in Auburn.

Shortly before 8:00 pm on June 10th, 2017 a Huron County OPP officer observed an ATV travelling northbound on Hardwood Line. The officer noted both the driver and passenger were not wearing helmets so a traffic stop was initiated. The passenger immediately got off the machine however the driver took off from the officer.

The ATV driver fled into a farmer's field but officers found him nearby on foot.

A roadside screening test was completed and the driver registered a Fail. He later provided two samples of his breath to a qualified intoxilizer technician and both of his samples registered over the legal limit.

As a result, the driver, 29-year-old Bradley Warwick, from ACW has been charged with drunk driving, driving with no license, failure to stop when signalled and failure to wear proper headgear.
