Water levels are rising in the Great Lakes.

The Detroit District of the U-S Army Corps of Engineers says summer water levels on lakes Superior, Michigan, Huron and Erie will be at their highest this summer.

According to Senior Water Resource Engineer at Environment Climate Change Canada Jacob Bruxer, it's been a while since the lakes have experienced levels like these.

The group's forecast data also shows that as of Sunday, Lake Ontario was up nearly one metre from last year and exceeded a record set in 1952 for the highest elevation ever for June.
