LOCAL KINCARDINE BOY RAISES FUNDS TO COMBAT KIDNEY DISEASE
8/9/2017 4:10:05 PM

A young man in Kincardine is changing lives, $1 at a time.

Christopher Pennington will lead 'Christopher's Crew' in the Kidney Foundation's Kidney Walk fundraiser for the 3rd straight year. The Kidney Walk takes place on September 10th, 2017 and Pennington will be this year's Ambassador.

12-year-old Christopher was diagnosed with kidney disease in 2015, and has since devoted his time to educating others about it, and fundraising to help find a cure.

Christopher tells myFM that his crew has raised a ton of money for kidney disease in years past, and this year they've set the bar even higher.

Christopher is selling bracelets this year to help reach his fundraising goal. The bracelets are $2 and you can get one at West Shore Clothing and Surf Shoppe, Bruce Telecom, Fincher's, Penetangear, Blyth Ultramart, and here at the Shoreline's myFM on Queen Street in Kincardine.
