GODERICH WAITS FOR FINAL RESULTS OF KRAFT HEINZ PROJECT PLAY INITIATIVE
9/11/2017 11:49:08 PM

Thanks to everyone who took the time to vote for Goderich Recreation Park in the Kraft Heinz Project Play contest that took place this weekend!

Ag. Park Revitalization Committee member and Goderich resident Steve Hewitt tells myFM that hundreds voted in person, and even more voted online. Polls were open from Friday at noon until 11:59pm on Saturday evening.

Steve says he personally voted over 5000 times in that 36-hour span, and knows of people who surpassed even that astounding number!

Hewitt says that he was overwhelmed with the community support that the project received.

This Saturday (September 16th) a community pep rally is being organized at the Maitland Rec Centre in conjuction with the Junior C game that takes place between the Goderich Flyers and Kincardine Bulldogs. Both the game, and the pep rally will begin at 7:30pm. The big announcement will be made during the halftime break of the Hamilton Ti-Cats game -- which Steve tells us will be sometime around 8:30pm
