COUNCILLOR DON MATHESON ACCEPTS LIBERAL MPP CANDIDATE POSITION

A contender has stepped up to challenge the conservatives for their seat in the Huron-Bruce riding during this year's provincial election.
    
Councillor Don Matheson has been acclaimed as the Liberal MPP candidate. He will be challenging Progressive Conservative Lisa Thompson who is seeking her third term in the seat. The NDP have yet to nominate a candidate
   
Don Matheson was acclaimed as the Liberal candidate during a nomination meeting in Lucknow on Saturday.
   
Matheson is a Saugeen Shores councillor and teacher at Saugeen District Secondary School in Port Elgin.
    
The native of Southampton says he plans to personally knock on every door in the riding during his campaign.
