HURON COUNTY HEALTH UNIT ENCOURAGES PEOPLE TO QUIT SMOKING THIS NEW YEAR
1/8/2018 2:29:16 PM

Quit smoking, and win prizes! What a great way to kick off the new year.

It is pretty well known that smoking is the leading cause of preventable disease and death, but young adults 20-24 years old still continue to have the highest smoking rate in Canada at 20.

The Huron County Health Unit is encouraging people aged 19-29 to enter Leave the Pack Behind's annual 'wouldurather' contest.

Because of the nicotine in cigarettes, quitting isn't always easy and often people need a little extra support and encouragement to achieve their goal.

With this contest, you can win up to $10 000 in prizes.

There are 4 categories you can enter: Quit For Good, Keep the Count, Party Without the Smoke, and Don't Start and Win.

You can enter the 'wouldurather' contest by visiting wouldurather.ca until January 28th at 11:59 pm.

The contest starts at the end of January and runs until March.

More information can be found at www.wouldurather.ca.
