It is being reported that the Lakeshore Advance newspaper that operates out of Grand Bend is being merged with the Exeter Times Advocate.

A spokesperson from Postmedia said in an email that reporter Lynda Hillman-Rapley will freelance for the new publication, but it appears that all the other staff in the Grand Bend office are slated to lose their jobs.

The new merged paper will be called the Exeter Lakeshore Times-Advance and the first publication will be delivered January 24th.

The spokesperson also told myFM via email that all account balances and expiry dates for the two papers will be honoured and transferred over to the new publication.
