HORSE-DRAWN BUGGY ACCIDENT PROMPTS SAFETY MESSAGE FROM POLICE
2/7/2018 6:08:21 AM

The OPP are reminding drivers to slow down after a woman was thrown from a horse-drawn buggy.

It happened back in January, when a horse-drawn vehicle was travelling down Concession 12 south of Grey Road 40 in Chatsworth.

The horse got scared when a cube van drove by, causing the horse to veer onto the road and flip the buggy.

The 25 year-old woman from Chatsworth was taken to hospital with serious, non life-threatening injuries, and was released.

Police say horses can get scared by cars very easily and are asking drivers to stay cautious and slow down.
