Kincardines own Garrett McFadden has been awarded the Dan Snyder Memorial Trophy which is awarded annually to the OHL's Humanitarian of the year. McFadden is the first two time winner of this award, doing it back to back thanks to his program McFadden's Movement which supports youth mental health awareness. Last year fundraising efforts surpassed $20,000 going towards local mental health resources. The Kincardine native is the teams captain and put up 44 points in 64 games last season as a defenseman for the Guelph Storm. (photo credit: www.ontariohockeyleague.com)
