GODERICH MAN CHARGED FOR DRIVING HIGH

A 56-year-old from Goderich is facing a charge of Impaired Driving following a traffic stop that took place in Clinton earlier this week. On Monday, Huron County OPP received multiple complaints about a possible impaired driver that was travelling on Highway 8. At the traffic stop, the investigating officer noticed signs the male driver was under the influence. Police say he was examined by a Drug Recognition Evaluator and it was determined the driver was impaired by a drug. Robert MCFARLANE from Goderich has been charged with Driving While Impaired by a Drug. He has been released from custody with a court date scheduled for June 11th. His licence has been suspended for 90 days and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
