The Huron County Health Unit is back monitoring water quality at area beaches in an attempt to keep swimmers safe this summer. The local Health Unit samples all 14 Huron County beaches twice a week based on the Beach Management Guidance Document, and issue no-swim advisories if needed. Currently, there is a no-swim advisory in effect for Amberly Beach, Goderich Main, and Goderich St. Christophers Beach. An advisory is issued based on the number of E. coli colonies in the water and on an assessment of environmental factors. Stay with myFM throughout the summer for updates about area beaches. You can also check out more information on the Huron County Health Unit website at huronhealthunit    .ca or on Twitter at Huron Beach Info.
