HURON COUNTY OPP TORCH RUN TAKES PLACE TODAY

The Ontario Law Enforcement Torch Run will be making its annual trek into Huron County next week. Special Olympians, police officers, family members, friends will run, walk, stroll together on Tuesday, June 12th, in an effort to promote awareness and raise funds for Special Olympics Ontario. The event starts at 9am at the Wingham OPP Detachment. The run will go through Wingham ending at the south end mall. Participants will then be transported to Blyth, Clinton and Goderich where they will complete a course in each of those communities. After completing the final leg in Goderich participants and supporters will meet for a celebratory barbeque. Any person or business that is looking to donate can do so on the day of the event by cash or cheques made payable to "Ontario Special Olympics". Bus transportation will be provided for free from Goderich to Wingham. Please arrive at the Goderich OPP Detachment located on Courthouse Square prior to the 8:00 a.m. departure time.
