The Town of Saugeen Shores has implemented a temporary watering ban for the second time now this summer. Residents are being asked to avoid watering lawns, filling pools and other water usage outside the home to ensure necessary levels of drinking water are obtained. The Director of Infrastructure and Development Services for the town Amanda Froese says levels stored in the distribution system have dropped to a point which required the temporary ban to be reactivated. She says the restriction is to ensure enough treated water remains for households and firefighting services.
