CONSTRUCTION FOR THE NEW POLICE HEADQUARTERS IN SAUGEREN SHORES HAS STARTED

Shovels are in the ground for the construction of the new police headquarters in Saugeen Shores. The new facility will be constructed on MacKenzie Dr. and Concession 10 at the north end of Port Elgin. Mayor, Mike Smith, says a new police building is great news for the community.

    Police Chief, Mike Bellai says having a proper facility is vital to serving Saugeen Shores to the best of their ability. He adds construction is going ahead on time and on budget ($5.56-million). Work is expected to be completed by late 2019 or early 2020.
