10/10/2018 10:55:55 AM

There is currently a labour crisis nationally, regionally, and locally.

Saugeen Shores is not immune to the issue, and they're hoping to adress the problem soon.

Manager of strategic initiatives, Jessica Linthorne, says they're aiming to have an open dialogue with the community.

Linthorne adds that the initiative to combat the crisis probable won't start until the new year once the new council gets settled.

Deputy mayor Luke Charbonneau says residents need to support solutions for businesses.

Councillor Dave Myette says this issue has potential to fix itself in a few years as the increased youth population grows up and starts looking for jobs, but for the time being we need to figure out a solution.
