A new partnership will be bringing jobs, new innovations, and technology to the area.
Bruce Power and nuclear contractor Framatome have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) just shy of 19 million dollars at their newly expanded office on Highway 21 in Kincardine.
Framatomes President and CEO of North American operations, Gary Mignogna, says one aspect is the design and implementation of filtered containment venting systems for the plants vacuum buildings.
He adds that next on the list will be expanding into replacing major heat exchangers.
Bruce Power President and CEO Mike Rencheck says the innovations being designed by Framatome are the types of ideas he wants to see fostered locally once the Ontario Nuclear Innovation Institute is established.
