Last year over 8500 young people aged 18-29 participated in the WouldURather contest which is aimed at declining the number of active smokers.
Research suggests around 20 percent of contestants quit smoking.
The contest encourages young adults to quit smoking, cut back on their smoking, don’t smoke while partying, or stay smoke-free for a chance to win cash prizes.
To help support young adults there will be the option to receive support emails, add a support crew, access 8 weeks of free patches or gun and get proactive calls or texts from the Smokers Helpline.
